Pre/Post Occupancy Evaluation
1/ tuning arch develops protocols to measure cognitive, psychological, and social dimensions of inhabitants and users: memory, attention, emotional regulation, response to stress, and the pro-social dimension.
2/ What are the methods adopted? Validated questionnaires, and bio-physiological investigation tools (eye tracker, skin conductance, heartbeat, and breathing).
3/ How long can it last? It depends on the number of subjects and complexity, varying from a few weeks to a few months.
4/ What is the typical workflow? The test is administered before the intervention, and then the post-intervention administration is repeated.
Monitoring
It provides continuous data on the relationship between space and users.
1/ Direct observation in situ, planned starting from the objects of investigation, which are usually social and relational aspects
2/ Indirect observation is carried out through electronic sensors to collect data relating to quantitative flows and readable emotional expressions, aiming to develop predictive social behavior models.
3/ Indirect observation made by applying Space Syntax. Using algorithms studied at UCL in London, it shapes predictive models of social behavior (flows and concentrations).
